The Relict: Tomorrow Is Again (MORN001)
Lost songs and new directions: the long-awaited debut collection by The Relict, shaped around the songs of Innes Phillips and a spectral production by Mark Keen of The Clientele, is by turns intimate, minimalist, spacious and quite simply heartbreaking.
Tracks:
  • Time Spent With You
  • I Saw Your Eyes
  • Breaks Another
  • Held in Glass
  • Childlike
  • Along the Avenue
  • Letters
  • Listen
  • In Your Hands
  • Only There
  • Southern Way
  • Darling I Know

Featuring the cadence-rich harmonies of Pam Berry (The Pines) and Lupe Nunas (Pipas), with an astonishingly fleeting vocal by Abigail Marvell on the legendary "Held in Glass," shaded with haunting piano and accordion lines, Drakesque acoustic work and the haziest of slide guitar, this elusive album recalls the dark complexities of Townes Van Zandt, Chris Bell and the Duritti Column.

Truly out of time, truly time to discover that Tomorrow Is Again.

(Songs For) The Morning (MORN002)
a song cycle from Vegas Morn.

"... with dream, comfort, memory, despair..." (Neil Young: Helpless)

(Songs For) The Morning surely exists within the extraordinary spaces between the languid, organic beauty of Gene Clark's White Light and the edgy future-pastoralism of Boards of Canada.

From the idyllic intro to Meets Guitar's hazy work, we knew a song-cycle was born. Five fleeting pieces, reflecting morning across the seasons, brought into the light by the deft production and subliminal field recordings of Michael Jones. Fragile connections are revealed. Post rock becomes bucolic. Lose yourself in the breeze like movement of (Songs For) The Morning.
