Hi, our next show will be in Hamburg, Germany at a club called Hit the North. This will be our first show in quite a while so expect a batch of new songs.

We're still working on our dates in USA, but we'll do shows in New York, Boston and Athens for sure. We'll be there for almost 3 weeks so there will be quite a lot of shows, we promise.

Our next 7" is on it's way to the pressing plant any day now so it will be out sometime this spring.

God afton, we have a new e-mail address since a few days back, so if you've e-mailed us on our old address the last couple of days, please contact us again at this address instead, as our old one is now dead.

The Asaurus compilation "Letting you down again aka lo-fi vs Depeche Mode" was released the 5th of Feburary and we have our version of "A question of lust" on it. We've posted a new song from our upcoming 7" on Music is my girlfriend over at our myspace site so head over there to hear it.

11/12 2007

The 3" cd is now available from Cloudberry records, and our songs for Slumberland split 7" series and the Music is my girlfriend 7" are now recorded and will be released sometime early next year.

Apart from that we'll have a cover of Depeche Mode's "A question of lust" on the Asaurus records DM tribute within a few weeks and a song called "What goes up must calm down" on a 555 compilation tape that should be released within short as well.

8/11 2007

The Faintest Ideas/ Boyracer split 7" is out now on HHBTM. We have 2 new songs on it while Boyracer do what they always does best; release loads of songs on a 7".

A new song called "If I could write spiteful lyrics" (oooh, that's so TVP) on Happy happy birthday to me vol. 4 that was released a while ago.

Our next release will be a 3 song 3" cd on Cloudberry records, and it'll be out in the streets December 1st.

right. seven months and no news on this site. we're lazy bastards, we know. sorry. our only excuse is that we've been busy keeping our myspace site updated. anyway, our album what goes up must calm down is out now on magic marker records, it's only 10 dollars, and we promise you'll get a lot of frantic drumming for that money! and even more news: the faintest ideas are going to the US and A to play boston, NY, philly, washington, athens and SXSW. if all goes well. we'll keep you posted on the development of these tour plans. in the meantime: buy our album and learn all the songs by heart.

our new album is recorded and done, so all we're waiting for now is the mastered version to show up here in gothenburg. the album will be called "what goes up must calm down" and will be released by magic marker records in the us, and worldwide by club pop. both versions will be out sometime this summer.

we've also recorded a brand new song called "picnic in panic" for a haymarket records compilation.

apart from that we will appear on a skeeter davis tribute on sanitary records and a depeche mode tribute on asaurus sometime later this year.

and speaking of asaurus... they will release one of our two new ep's that will show up sometime this autumn. the other ep will be released by hhbtm, and speaking of hhbtm... we'll have a video on their new dvd compilation! we'll let you know more about these releases when they're done.

and for those of you who thinks we're letting ymr down, don't worry, we'll have a song on the new ymr compilation as well.

ok, as you might have noticed we have changed the name of the band, we are no longer javelins, but the faintest ideas. this is because there are a bunch of bands called javelins already, and we were sick and tired of the name anyway. so get used to this following fact: javelins are fucking dead!

This is an Indie Page!
