The Tinycakes are an optimistic group of one guy living in Chicago. Making music for people. People to listen to and forget about the bad stuff. For people to listen to and think 'Hey, this guy made some music for himself and for me to listen to, to listen to and think about the good stuff like new friends and flying on a whistled melody.'
The Tinycakes can be seen playing live shows from time to time in the city of Chicago alongside his friends in the local music scene there. The Tinycakes performed the Nebraska Pop Festival in 2009 to a very supportive crowd. One mother later, Series Two Records released "The First Two Years" album featuring twenty-nine songs from the Tinycakes recorded between 2006 and 2007. A free comic book by Jim accompanies the release.
