Peter and Lina met in 2003. It was love at first sight... At that time Peter played in a band called Chloe and Lina played in a band called Cvalda. In late 2004 both of those bands became inactive. Naturally, they started a new band together. They recorded the song "Get out of bed" and decided to name the band after the factory in the small, rural village Garphyttan where Peter once lived. In the beginning Springfactory's main goal was to make a lot of noise and distortion. Quite honestly, the result was more poppy and well mannered than the original thought.
In February 2005 the first EP was released on Bedroom Records. Springfactory toured Stockholm's smaller basement venues and continued to release songs on a few well-chosen, friendly CDR labels. On the side, Peter plays in Suburban Kids With Biblical Names and Lina also plays in The Big Picture.
Since 2005 Springfactory has played over 30 live shows across Sweden including an appearance at Emmaboda Festival and also a pair of shows in Germany. Springfactory has shared the stage with many notable Swedish bands including Suburban Kids With Biblical Names, Billie the Vision and the Dancers, Vit Pals and most recently Sambassadeur.
