Cleveland, OH multi-instrumentalist Alex Fencl records under the moniker Probably My Son. Fencl has written, recorded, and performed with the Columbus, OH-based art punk band, Happy Campers (myspace.com/happyhappycampers) and has released five albums under that name since 1999.
After the announcement of the 'Campers indefinite hiatus, Fencl returned to the format he has been accustomed to working in since the late 90s: experimental pop songs. Comparisons fall somewhere between The Weakerthans, Leonard Cohen, Low, Robert Wyatt, and Mum.
In March and April of 2008, Fencl began working on new material, recording in Munich, Bratislava, Salzburg, Prague, and Cleveland. More details and posted songs in the future.
Fencl's latest album is called "Good Morning, Hummingbird!" It was released by Series Two Records in early 2009 and was recorded in Cleveland, Columbus, and Reykjavik.
