The Big Picture is Mikael Salomonsson whom originally hailed from Sweden but currently resides in China while he studies there. The Big Picture makes sweet sounds and is influenced greatly by artists such as Elliott Smith, Cat Power, Yo La Tengo, Sufjan Stevens, Wilco and many other great artists. All of those artists are considered as valid comparisons to The Big Picture. On the album release he enlists help from his friend Peter Gunnarsson of Suburban Kids With Biblical Names fame and Lina Cullemark of Springfactory fame both of which had guest spots on this particular album singing backing vocals. Also Mikael enlisted the help of several other talented friends. Mikael currently plays many live shows within the Beijing scene and also has released an album in China with a great label.
