Bakers At Dawn (Marcus Sjoland) lives in Sweden. He liked radishes as a child. In 2002 his band broke up, then he remembered a song by Neutral Milk Hotel and started recording music on his own. A bunch of cdr's were made under various names and sometimes handed out to his friends. In 2005 Canarie Records released a cdr called You Got Your Fathers' Mother. Shortly thereafter the band decided on a name and settled down somewhere between being a real band and a one-man recording project. Sometimes, especially when playing live Bakers at Dawn is backed up by his friends. Bakers at Dawn wants his music to sound either like a cold rock wrapped up in a warm blanket, or a warm blanket wrapped around a cold rock. Since he can't decide, his music will always be subject to subtle change. Bakers at Dawn also plays music in Band in Box, rolls, Houses in Motion and Big Strong Union.
