And Oh, So Slowly He Turned is the soloproject of me, Kristian Svensson from Sweden. The album By Some Godforsaken Lake Up North along with the project has been up and running since the autumn of 2005. In January 2009 the local authorities decided to wipe the house where i had my studio from the face of the earth. A garbage lithered house just metres from a highway that runs through my town. It has inevitably marked the album the 4 years i have been sitting there watching the cars go by. Most noticeable is the song Motorhuv which really is just a very hot summers day with a microphone, an organ and the soundscape coming through the windows.
Great influences are The Radio Dept, Embassy, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Belle & Sebastian, Bob Dylan, John Lennon.
The future holds a move to Stockholm with some gigs planned.
