|| Indiepages ||"Aw, 13 songs in 18 minutes? This Swedish duo certainly knows how to get my attention! In spirit and recording style (meaning it's mixed rather loudly), they remind me quite a bit of the Capstan Shafts. Okay, I'll admit they're not quite as consistent (there are certainly a few songs that either aren't very good or sound a bit too incomplete), but they know that you don't need to linger too long in order to leave an impression. Musically, however, they actually sound similar to the Radio Dept.'s early singles and recordings, with mostly laidback songs featuring hushed vocals, melodic guitars and the occasional drum machine - all infused with a fair amount of reverb. I could even see myself mistaking "I Hope It's Over Now" for a Radio Dept. demo, had I heard the song in a different context. Forget cd - this should've been released on cassette! MTQ=10/13"
