the Spanish Amanda -
Northern Lines
The Spanish Amanda is a loose collective around Huw
Bucknell and various friends. The
sound is a bit difficult to describe, sometimes with
jangly Field Mice-style guitars,
other type with 80's-sounding electronics a la New
Order, sometimes both, but usually
with Huw's distinctive and emotive vocals, sometimes
disgusted, other times obsessive,
but always interestingly distinct.
