On May 19th, 1998, after nearly a year of planning, Sandcastle Records released the compilation This Is Stereophonic Sunshine. The name comes from a song by Watership Down, which is used by permission. The song appeared on their 1996 cassette-only album, Delicatessin, on Cave Records. Most of the songs on the compilation are exclusive, and the songs that aren't exclusive are all either previously unreleased, or obscure and/or difficult to obtain.
