Hi everybody! Well here's what's happening in the Little Teddy universe. We have a bunch of new releases out as you all can see so be nice little boys and girls... anyway let's get started. The Television Personalities CD compilation "Fashion conscious - The Little Teddy Years" has now completely sold out, but might see a reissue at a later point. As the rumor has it Mr. Dan Treacy might get a new outfit together and do more recordings with Liam Watson at Toe Rag Studios London, who besides other projects is responsible for the great sounds on the recent White Stripes album Elephant. Floosh! our new compilation is hot on the heels of Woosh! which is sold out as well. Celest have recorded an new EP called "Social Annimosity" (Lite752) which is a straight goal getter. Jowe Head of TVPs, Swell Maps, Palookas, Househunter & solo fame has a great new combo together. Their debut EP "Venus Big Foot" is out now on Little Teddy and it's simply fantastico. Sweden is the name of the game and we have a great new offering by the name of "The Higher Elevations". Their second single is due out by the end of July. Check out their homepage for free and totally legal MP3 downloads. Spread the word as they are working on their first album to be released on LTR in October on LP/CD formats. Alex Steininger editor of In Music We Trust found some great words on the most recent album release by our beloved norwegian pop kids who go by the name of "The Loch Ness Mouse". "Incredibly saccharine pop music, the warm, inviting melodies of The Loch Ness Mouse's latest, Key West, are undeniably pleasant. The easy going, relaxed pop-rock beats swim in sugary sweet goodness, sounding like your favorite candy bar tastes - so damn pleasing. The band effortlessly re-traces the steps of 60s pop legends while putting their own spin on the sound, making it feel refreshingly retro and surprisingly new. If this band isn't a hipster favorite in a few years, there is something significantly wrong. The sublime beauty of this simplistic, good natured pop record is the essence of all that is right in music. The love of putting on a record, having it make you feel good, and taking you away into another world (a happy place) before you return to reality to face the highs and lows of life." Hot on the heels of last years debut "Who do we think you are?" comes "Tonewheel Generation" the new album from Phaze. If you enjoyed their first offering then you're going to love this! What immediately hits you is how the band sound more accomplished and confident in what they are playing. Fay Hallam's writing has matured and her talent for creating great songs is apparent throughout. The talents of Allan Crockford are also showcased as he swaps his familiar bass for lead guitar with great results. Of the ten tracks highlights include 'Good will come', 'Save me' and a rousing cover of the David Bowie's 'In the heat of the morning'. Every possible emotion is displayed as Fay takes us on a journey through the highs and lows of life. Graham Day is again involved; this time engineering the recording of what can only be described as a great album. A pleasant soundtrack for pleasant days is our still hot 12 track album by Seattle, WA based Tullycraft, who are working on a follow up to this their third album at the moment. We still a have smaller number of blue and brown wax pressings of the vinyl LP version in stock so check the mailorder and distro sections on how to get your copy. If you still haven't heard this gorgeous band check in on their homepage for loads of MP3s to tease you up. Stay tuned!
