Baby Calendar

Jan. 2, 2007:

Ok, it's about time for a 2007 beginning of the year update! Only a very few shows coming up and we're taking March - April off! Yea, that's right, a self imposed hiatus from playing shows if you will. This is a special time for us, but not to worry for we shall be playing plenty of shows again after we take care of some personal and some band- related business. We've done a whole lot of touring over the past 2+ years and we've met a whole lot of great people who we hope to see again and again and again! We'll be working on tour plans for the summer and beyond and regrouping musically, time to press the reset button in our brains and see what comes out. It's about that time for Baby Calendar, time to challenge ourselves further and go beyond what we've done so far; time to push the threshold a little bit further. Ooh and speaking of pushing boundaries and growing musically, Tom and Arik are working on a little sumthin' sumthin' and it's pretty tasty. As soon as we've got some more info on that, we'll start screaming it from mountaintops. Thanks everybody and have a great beginning of 2007, push that threshold you wonderful people you!!!

CMJ UPDATE:

CMJ was so much fun! We saw friends from all over the country, we love it when that happens (the last time we saw that many friends from other cities was Plan-It-X Fest!). There was so much activity going on in the city, what with the normal hustle and bustle of NYC and then CMJ going on - 5 days straight of shows in venues all over the city. The shows were great, the vibe was great, and the cool weather was a treat.

Our little slice of CMJ went like this: HHBTM showcased some (but by no means all) of our finest at the Cakeshop on Thursday night. Poison Control Center did a solo set and we got a surprise when Patrick called Ashley up on drums and they played some lovely songs for us. Russian Spy Camera consists of 3 extremely cool dudes and they played a dance-y psychedelic rock'n'roll set. Baby Calendar ouch those cuties! We were so happy to be there and we gave it our all to a small sea of noddin’ heads on smiling faces. Felt good. Keith John Adams started out standing on a chair in the middle of the room with his acoustic guitar and then his toy piano, charming some and scaring others as he is so fond of doing. Then he got on stage with the Casper’s backing him and it was seriously rocking. Casper and the Cookies brought it home with a seriously indie-rock set that moved through all tempos and mood just the way a good set should. They are so damn good. And that's how the night went, pretty solid. Next day we froze our faces off in Maryland and played at the University radio station.

FALL 2007 SCHEDULED RELEASES:

Split 7" single out on HHBTM (2 New songs!). Another BRAND NEW SONG on HHBTM Vol. 4 compilation.
